Why Your Small Business Doesn't Have a Website
You’ve started a business but are still directing clients to a social media page or worse, you don’t have anything!
Modern websites are no longer simply a “recommended” aspect of a business, but lots of small businesses still don’t have a site!
Why?
We tried to come up with some legitimate reasons a small business doesn’t have a website:
Lack of financial resources
Not enough time
Not tech-savvy enough
Not relevant to your industry
Rely on non-digital marketing
Use of social media profiles instead
These reasons seem legit but we’d argue you don’t understand how a website helps your business and provides value to your customers and clients.
Your website is for you, but it’s primarily for your visitors. 🙋
If someone has ever asked about your products or services, hours of operation, location, contact info, etc. then a website (and a Google business page) will add value to your business!
No matter what kind of business you’re in, people go online to get information about you and your business. Have you ever Googled your name or business? What comes up? Your website? LinkedIn profile? Someone else’s site or profile? Nothing?!?!
And if you have a site, but it’s outdated and doesn’t play nice with today’s tech (mobile friendly) you need to update!
The best reason to have a website is that there’s no reason not to because these days creating a professional website is easier than ever.
